Rudolf Clausius was a German physicist. He studied at the University of Berlin and University of Halle. He worked as a physics professor at the Royal Artillery and Engineering School in Berlin and later at the University of Wurzburg. Clausius made important contributions to the field of thermodynamics, introducing the concept of entropy in 1865. He helped found the science of thermodynamics and received the Copley Medal in 1879 for his achievements.
